LEARN WITH PLASTIC SHED!

Workshop Aims:
Create a collaborative eco-poster using recycled plastic bags, where children work together (in groups of 3 or 4) to design habitats, animals, and environmental messages through creative making and collaboration.
KS1 Objectives:

Explore animals and their environments through creative making and discussion.

Develop cutting, arranging, and making skills using recycled materials.
-
Create individual animal designs to contribute to a larger group artwork.
-
Add words or simple messages to communicate environmental themes.
This supports the KS1 National Curriculum through Art & Design and Design & Technology (collaborative making and creative use of materials), Geography (animals and environments), English (communication and creating simple messages), and Sustainability (understanding recycling and caring for the environment).
KS2 Objectives:

Explore habitats, environmental issues, and sustainability through creative discussion and making.

Design and create individual animal pieces to contribute to a larger collaborative artwork.

Develop practical making skills using recycled materials and creative techniques.

Reflect on teamwork, design choices, and how visual messages can communicate environmental awareness.
This supports the KS2 National Curriculum through Art & Design and Design & Technology (designing, making, and evaluating collaborative artwork), Geography (habitats, environments, and sustainability), and English (communication and creating purposeful messages), while encouraging teamwork, creativity, and environmental awareness.

Safety and Supervision:
Due to the use of heated equipment (iron), a supervising adult must be present and actively involved during the workshop.
The workshop host will guide all activities; however, an additional adult is required to:

Assist with the supervised ironing process or Support children during making
