Welcome to The Sustainability Hub

Currently available to Man Met University and University of Salford students

This community is a platform for students from universities across Greater Manchester to connect, share ideas, learn new skills, and ask questions about repurposing plastic waste. You’ll also have the opportunity to work with experienced recycled plastic artists and designers. Whether you’re passionate about sustainability, art, or innovation, this is the space for you!

Meet the team running the Hub

Hey there!
We are Jamie and Caitlin the people behind Plastic Shed and the creators of this new idea - The Sustainability Hub!
We want to use our years of experience in the sustainability creative industry to help guide you with your own ideas.
Got an idea? We want to hear it!
Want to learn more? We want to meet you!
Got no idea what you're doing? Us neither...lets figure it out together!
Learn from our mistakes, failures and successes...read more about us on the next slide...

The Online Space (Hosted on Microsoft Teams)

Our online hub is where the community lives — a place to stay connected between events and workshops.

Inside, you’ll find:

  • Local Opportunities — volunteering, events, and opportunities near you.

  • Artist Q&As — ask questions and learn from creatives working with recycled plastics.

  • Workshop Resources —  videos, photos, and notes taken from each in-person workshop shared (so you can catch up if you miss a session).

  • Networking — connect with like-minded students across different universities.

The online space is hosted on Microsoft Teams, and you will need your university login to join.

We will only accept university emails.
