This community is a platform for students from universities across Greater Manchester to connect, share ideas, learn new skills, and ask questions about repurposing plastic waste. You’ll also have the opportunity to work with experienced recycled plastic artists and designers. Whether you’re passionate about sustainability, art, or innovation, this is the space for you!

This link will take you to a Google Form where you’ll need to provide your name, course, and email address. Once your details have been reviewed, Plastic Shed will send you an email invite to join the WhatsApp group. Please bear with us while we send you the link!

An introduction to sustainable 3D Printing techniques and how to transform waste plastic bottles into 3D printing material.

Experiment using 3D printing pens with recycled plastics and bioplastics.
3rd Workshop – Plastic Shed Stockport 24/2/27

1-2-1 mentoring slots for after the workshop (10-minute sign-up slots).

Use Precious Plastic machines, including a shredder, injection moulder, and heat press.

Outcomes include tiles, beads, buttons, combs, carabiners, rulers, plant pots and more!

Learn how to transform waste plastic bags into a leather-like material to create products and artwork.

There will be two opportunities to share your learning experiences, which can include a stall or other methods at sustainability-focused events held at The University of Salford and Manchester Metropolitan University.
Alongside the online hub, we’re running a programme of hands-on workshops where you can experiment, make, and connect face-to-face.
Our In-Person Workshops
All workshops will also be documented in the WhatsApp group — so if you can’t make it in person, you can still learn and take part remotely.
