BECOME A VOLUNTEER
Interested in becoming a volunteer for Plastic Shed?
We have an amazing bunch of people who come and volunteer for us in loads of different ways!
SEND volunteers
Corporate volunteering
Every Thursday we run an open volunteering day for all SEND colleges, schools and groups.
Our SEND volunteers are the beating heart of everything we do. During visits our team help sort our donated plastic lids into their colours, ready to be used in our next project - murals, products, workshops - our volunteers help with it all!
We have had the honour of having Aquinas Pathways group and independant adults from Pure Innovations volunteer with us for years.
This is a closed volunteering day for SEND individuals, and their support team, only.

Do you have a group from work who want to make a difference, contribute to our environment, and be the first step for our community led projects?
Well we would LOVE to have you join us for a day of volunteering - get sorting lids, shredding plastics and maybe even product making - depending on what we need help with at the time.
We welcome groups of all sizes and for anything from 2 hours to a full day.

Are you an individual with a want to help our environment and get involved with what we do?
We don't currently offer regular volunteer work, outside of our closed SEND groups, but if you've got an idea of how you would like to get involved we would love to hear from you and chat it over.
The more help the better and we would always love to grow our network of volunteers :)
Donation Station volunteer
Become a donation station volunteer!
We have 45+ (and growing) donation stations stretching over Stockport and into Manchester city centre.
We are so insanely grateful for this growth and for everyone donating, however, more stations mean more pick ups, and with a small team of 2 this is becoming too big of a job to keep on top of all by ourselves.
We are building a team of volunteers who are open to manning their local donation station. This means they keep an eye on the donation station and when full, then empty it and bring the bag of lids to us in Stockport.
