Plastic Shed | Community Meeting

Exciting news!

Plastic Shed have been recently awarded a grant, generously donated by Unicorn Grocery Coop. This grant will allow us to offer creative workshops to our communities.

We’d like to get people together in Stockport and surrounding areas to come up with ideas for these activities.

We know that a lot of us are frustrated about this shared problem of Plastic waste at the moment.

We want to make sure that everyone can have a voice about it and get involved creatively taking action in a way that suits them!

By running these workshops we are also aiming to bring creativity and wellbeing through craft work into everybody’s homes, creating community resilience and empower individuals through education, giving them more control and information over their choices, purchases and lifestyles to create a better and sustainable present and future.

Therefore we are holding an Online Community Meeting on the 24th of March, 6 - 7pm to chat through ideas around turning plastic waste into new useful things in a creative way!

During this informal meeting we will share some pictures and inspiring ideas of what Plastic Shed have previously created and we will be gathering ideas and suggestions from the participants through a simple and interactive game.

We would also be grateful if you could spread the word to people you support or work with. We know that many people could benefit a lot from those workshops.

If they are particularly concerned about plastic waste we hope this will be a great opportunity to take action with others, and also improve their creativity and wellbeing.

We are aware that getting together online might not be easy for everyone. As we would like to make this community meeting accessible to everyone as much as possible, please feel free to let us know how to do so if necessary :)
